Frequently Asked Questions

1. When I sign up what do I expect?

You will be provided with a User name and password, which will allow you to enter your homepage, where a message will be waiting from your Tutor to get you started on the course.

2. What information will I have?

You will be provided with all of the lessons you require to complete the Specification, you will have assignments and exercises to test your progress and a revision package to enable you to prepare for the exams, as well as access via the Discussion Boards to your Tutor.

3. Is there a set time for me to complete the lessons?

Usually when enrolling a student decides the length of time it will take for them to complete the course with the Principals advice.  If at a later date you wish to change the timescale this is possible by communicating with your Tutor and the Principal.  Each lesson can be completed according to your own time schedules.

4. Do I have to attend any classes?


All of the materials are available online to complete the Specification, however some courses require Coursework, which you will liaise with your Tutor as to when  that is completed, for Sciences, that usually requires lab work, which your Tutor will discuss with you to find the times that suit you both best.

5. Do Universities accept this as a valid qualification?


The final exam is external and is taken in formal exam conditions with the EDEXCEL Exam Board, so all Universities recognise it as a valid A Level.

6. Do I have any imposed Deadlines to meet?

Once you have agreed your programme of study with the Principal, you will be advised of any deadlines for exam entries in March for the June exams and in October for the January Exams.

7. Where can I sit the exam?

All students registering with ASW2 will be able to take there exams at our Westminster Campus if they wish.  Any  student can choose to enter the exams as a private candidate at a centre local to them, we will advise as to the best way to approach this option and the best dates to start organising this.

8. What are the chances of my success?

Every Student who has registered with ASW2 and taken exams has met their targets, currently we have an 83% grade A - C pass rate which is 13% above the national average.

9. Do I have to have been studying recently to enter a course with ASW2?

We have helped many students who have not been involved in formal studies for a few years, you can enroll on a course with ASW2 if you are a student elsewhere, if you have studied in the past but need to take things slowly, if you have not studied before, if you find it hard to fit into conventional methods of study.

10. Will I get help if I have difficulties?

A tutor is always available to help you if you have any questions or need for clarification.  The Discussion Boards are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and student  can expect to receive a response within 24 hours of posting a request. The Principal is also available  to help and advise either by email or telephone.
