Teaching Opportunities

ASW2 courses follow Edexcel examination specifications and are available in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Computing, English Literature, Geography, Mathematics and Further Mathematics, we are also offering GCSEs in Maths and English.

ASW2 is experiencing rapid growth and we are always interested in hearing from teachers in all these subject areas.

Your job will be to guide students through the courses, set, mark, return work electronically, answer student questions and offer support and guidance on the interactive discussion boards, regularly post to your ASW2 subject blog and build on the comprehensive material written by our well established team of teacher authors in online lessons and revision material.

Full training in ASW2 software and online teaching strategies will be provided online. We are committed to offering teachers a stimulating and innovative working environment and unique professional development opportunities.
You should have good computer skills, you need to be a regular and enthusiastic user of the world wide web familiar with a wide range of web software from QuickTime to discussion boards, from blogs to instant messaging and be able to trouble shoot your own Internet connectivity problems.

You should be able to demonstrate that you:

1. have a first class track record of A level and GCSE teaching success in your chosen subject and, preferably, experience of A and GCSE level examining

2. Can commit to logging on to the ASW2 school website each day to set, mark and return work and respond to student questions

3. Are a good communicator

4. Are personable, caring and supportive
 
5. Are passionate about your subject

6. Have knowledge of the Edexcel A level and GCSE specifications in your subject
 
7. Are achievement oriented
 
8. Are self-motivated and able to manage your own work load effectively

9. Are eager to be part of something groundbreaking
 
10. Are comfortable working with technology
 
11. Have an Enhanced Disclosure CRB check
